About Masala Madness

Modern Indian restaurant serving a fusion of classic Indian vegetarian cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Located at 4342 E New York St, Aurora, IL 60504, Masala Madness operates as an indian restaurant serving Aurora in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Aurora, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (630) 366-0100. Fantastic over all. So glad we actually sat down and looked at the menu the second time around! First time we visited we were looking for butter chicken carry out- which they don’t serve as a vegetarian restaurant. So we ordered the paneer that was the closest to butter chicken. I love it but it didn’t satisfy my kids/husbands butter chicken craving. Fast forward to today we came in and actually looked at the menu and OMG what we got was amazing. The CHEESE NAAN!! I got the malai kofta and my husband got the kadhai tikka masala and they were both phenomenal. Our waiter suggested the cheese naan, and it brought the whole meal together. I assumed -incorrectly- that it would be cheese melted on the bread. No there’s melted cheese inside the naan, kinda an Indian take on a grilled cheese. It was grown up flavors but it sparked memories of grilled cheese as a kids. Everything was creamy and delicious. Highly suggest for everyone, especially omnivores looking for great, complex flavors.

Masala Madness never disappoints! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We tried the Veg Hakka Noodles for the kids fresh, crunchy veggies, not too spicy, and both kids AND adults loved it. Perfect family order. Gobi Manchurian was next level super crunchy, saucy, and SO tasty. Perfect blend of sauces... you don’t wanna miss this one. Bang Bang Noodles were exactly how we like it spicy, flavorful, and super yum 🔥 And like always, we’re hooked on their Chole Bhature. Honestly, this is the best in Chicago, hands down. The bhature are extremely fresh, fluffy, and perfect quality. The chole are super authentic…you won’t get this taste anywhere else in Chicago or around Chicago. Will be back soon. Already craving it again!

Masala Madness in Aurora is easily one of the strongest vegetarian Indian spots we’ve tried in the Chicagoland area. The food feels modern and creative while still staying rooted in authentic Indian flavors. The new Madness Sizzler was the highlight for us — served on crispy burnt rice with spicy noodles, smoky tofu, and bursts of tangy mango. It’s unique, balanced, and honestly unlike anything we’ve tried at other Indian restaurants in the area. Their makhani momos are easily some of the best momos we’ve had in the US, and the kachori chaat is something we order every single time. We’ve also really enjoyed their kadai tikka masala with chilli garlic naan, chole bhature, and Amritsari kulcha plate on previous visits. To end the meal, the warm moong dal halwa was pure comfort. Overall, Masala Madness is a must-try if you’re looking for high-quality vegetarian Indian food in the Chicago suburbs. Definitely worth the drive.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. Taste-wise, the food is very good. It’s an American-style restaurant, and the spice levels are balanced so even Americans can enjoy the food. Overall, the taste is really good. Garlic Burnt Fried rice is highlight. The only major issue is service. It seems like only one person is managing both the kitchen and the dining area, which makes service very slow. Many times we had to get up and wait for him because he was busy in the kitchen and there was no one in the front to attend customers. Another concern is cleanliness. As you can see in the picture, the plates were not properly clean , contains strains from previous dish that had eaten by someone. The owner should consider hiring at least one dedicated person for the front/service area. No matter how good the food tastes, service and cleanliness are equally important for a good dining experience.

First visit to Masala Madness and we’re already fans! Convenient location with ample parking, a modern yet cozy ambience, and even private cubicles for those who want privacy. The hospitality truly stood out. Owner/Chef Chetan and manager Nancy welcomed us warmly, explained the menu, and made spot-on recommendations based on our preferences. Papdi Chaat was a clear winner—super crunchy till the last bite and beautifully balanced with fresh yogurt. The Makhani Momos were creamy, flavorful, and mildly spiced (just right for me), with extra spicy chutneys thoughtfully provided for my wife. Only wish there were a couple more momos! The Amritsari Kulcha Chole was excellent—soft, freshly made kulchas with perfect stuffing and chole that tasted comforting and homemade, not greasy at all. Extra bhature and generous offers of more chole were a lovely touch. Dessert sealed the deal: crunchy Jalebi with rich, dense Rabri, followed by a complimentary scoop of Falooda for our anniversary—classy, thoughtful, and delicious. Great food, warm hospitality, and inviting ambience. We’ll definitely be back—soon and often!
